Wanderer’s delight

Wanderer’s delight
Far and wide
I wander
Soaked in my mind’s own
Rain and thunder.
My feet take me far
Till I can walk no longer
Dragging my heavy heart
Along like an anchor.
Wish I could share
The sights I’ve seen
With your eyes,
Tall mountains sandy beaches and waters pristine.
With each passing breath
I carry on deeper into the sea
But the only solace I have
Is that you’re back home thinking of me.
