Parched shore

Parched shore
A deserted shore,

Parched for your touch.

I wait in agonising silence

For your return.

For now you ebb away

Far deeper and distant

Than I’ve ever seen

But you’ll return

Momentarily.

You always do.

And when you do

You drown my parched soul

With wave after wave

And I barely hold on.

For I am merely a grain of sand

Swimming in the vast ocean

Surrounded by your essence.
